I met the Ritchey family on a beautiful day as September came to a close. Their immediate family consisted of mom and dad, Rebecca and James, and their 3 sons--Joshua ,Justin and Jeremy.

And though Rebecca and James did not raise daughters I could tell that they were grateful for the daughters they had gained in their two oldest sons' wives--Katrina and Amanda.
 

The family also welcomed their youngest son Jeremy's new girlfriend Hallie to their session!

You have to absolutely adore a family of adults that still get together for family photos that express their love and close relationship.

May we all take a lesson from the Ritchey family and remember that family ties and bonds are what life is all about and that blood may make you related, but love is what makes you family.

Joshua and Katrina (and pups!)-married 2 years

--Like his father James before him, Joshua is an Army veteran, and Joshua is also a police officer.  Joshua wanted to be sure to get an image of he and his wife Katrina wrapped in the Thin Blue Line American Flag that represents the police force. I think the image is beautiful!
